Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Justyn Ross Arrested on Felony Charges
In a shocking turn of events, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross found himself in legal hot water this Monday. Ross was arrested on a felony charge of criminal damage, surpassing a staggering $25,000, as reported by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
The Chiefs acknowledged the arrest on Monday evening when queried by ESPN, though they have chosen to remain tight-lipped at this time.
Ross’s apprehension took place in Shawnee, Kansas, as indicated by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report. Notably, no bond was set, according to ESPN sources.
Just 23 years old, Ross has had limited opportunities on the field this season, amassing just three receptions for 34 yards across seven games. His latest performance in the Chiefs’ 31-17 victory against the Los Angeles Chargers saw him participating in 25% of the offensive snaps, but quarterback Patrick Mahomes did not target him in the passing game.
A 2022 acquisition by the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent from Clemson, Ross had a promising start in rookie training camp. Unfortunately, he was sidelined with a foot injury and subsequently spent the entire season on injured reserve.
In light of these recent events, the future of Justyn Ross in the NFL and with the Kansas City Chiefs remains uncertain.
